ZERO AIR GENERATORS

Similar to other types of gas generators, laboratory air generators are specifically designed for analytical instruments. These generators control the amount of impurities, pressure, and airflow to ensure uninterrupted analysis. Laboratory air generators are equipped with various components, each tasked with removing specific impurities. The primary impurities removed from the airstream include water, moisture, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, and particulates. The flow diagram provided illustrates the different steps of filtration and “scrubbing” that the airstream undergoes before being delivered to the point of use. It is important to note that air quality requirements vary for different analytical instruments, which is why we offer several types of laboratory air generators.

Applications
  • Zero Air or Ultra Zero Air: For the Flame Ionization Detector in Gas Chromatography.
  • FTIR Air: With very low levels of carbon dioxide for Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) spectroscopy.
  • Dry Air: For the flame in an Atomic Absorption Spectrometer.
  • VOC-Free Air: For Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) Analysis.
